Google’s White Nexus 5 Image Leaks
All that's truly left is a release date.
The Nexus 5 has been leaked to the point where there’s only one thing that can surprise Android fans: the release date.
The look of the phone is known as well as the hardware and software. The latest leak comes from evleaks’ twitter account where a picture of a Nexus 5 with a white back was posted along with the caption: In white. 11/1.
The Nexus 5 has been heavily rumored to have a 4.95-inch, 1080p IPS display, a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM. The phone is also said to have an 8-megapixel rear camera and Qi wireless charging (an alternative way to restore the phone’s 2,300mAh battery) and NFC, something featured on the Nexus 4. The phone is expected to have LTE which would be an improvement from its predecessor.
Android 4.4, or Kit Kat, is the OS that is proned to run on the Nexus 5. Featuring finetuned tweaks and upgrades from 4.3 Jelly Bean, it should give the phone that final coat of polish to make it a great experience for Android users and even anyone switching over from iOS.
A smorgasbord of rumors have dropped about this phone including release dates ranging from Oct. 14 to Oct. 31. The latest and hopefully final date that is speculated on is Nov. 1. Whether this is the date the phone will be announced or released is yet to be seen, but either way, those remotely interested in the Nexus 5 should keep an eye out for any news around that time frame.
