NBC’s “Hannibal” has its poster art for its upcoming second season.

The art shows the damaged hero Will Graham, played by Hugh Dancy, in a mask that pays homage to the original while adding a bit of originality. Behind Dancy, a blinding white backdrop ironically screams cleanliness and purity.

Hannibal will be moved from its former Thursday night at 10pm ET/PT slot to its new Friday night at 10pm ET/PT. This new position means that Grimm will be fittingly springboarding the show. Hopefully it gets better reception here instead of being the follow up to NBC’s Thursday night round of comedies.

Hannibal premieres Friday, Feb. 28, 2014. One thing worth noting about this date is that it gives the show enough room (assuming this is another 13 episode season) to meet the deadline for the 2014 Emmy nominations, contrary to last year where season 1 went four weeks over. Here’s hoping the show gets the attention it deserves this time around, especially after having a rocky launch with fans, creators and NBC unsure of its renewal. There is still no teaser, promo or trailer for the upcoming season, so we’ll just have to feast our eyes on this art for now.
