Heartbreak Drake <3

Started from the bottom... of my heart.

A list consisting of 10 of Drake’s most sappy lyrics penned throughout his career that helped deemed him hip-hop’s most emotionally in tune rapper.

Canadian rapper Aubrey “Drake” Graham is known for receiving backlash for making music that is very… emotional. With today being Valentine’s Day, what better way to celebrate than reading the soothing, poetic love quotes from the artist. Here’s a compilation of some of his most profound, heartfelt and sentimental works.

 1. “They keep telling me don’t save you. If I ignore all that advice and something isn’t right, then who will I complain to?” – The Real Her (2011)

You complain to yourself, they told you, and we don’t care.

2. “I know you always be lying when you be leaving, going to visit family, promise me you ain’t cheating” – Deceiving (2009)

3. “Call me crazy, shit at least ya calling” – Diced Pineapples (2012)

Whatever it takes, huh?

4. Doing It Wrong (The Entire Song) (2011)

This just may be Drake’s most sensitive song to date and having Stevie Wonder as a feature only justifies it. With lyrics like “cry if you need to, but I can’t stay to watch you, that’s the wrong thing to do” it just makes me think that Drizzy was on the receiving end of this statement.

5. “Tell me how the fuck we supposed to stay friends, when you got a bunch of feelings that you don’t show?” – Trust Issues (2011)

… You show enough feelings for us all.

6. “Sometimes I need that stripper that’s gone tell me that she don’t dance” – Underground Kings (2011)

Only Drake would go to a strip club expecting deep, intimate conversation.

7. “Next time we fuck, I don’t wanna fuck, I wanna make love. Next time we talk, I don’t wanna just talk, I wanna trust.” – Own It (2013)

8. “You put the tea in the kettle and light it” – Karaoke (2010)

Hahahaha! It wouldn’t be surprising if he really does have tea parties.

9. “She just wanna run over my feelings like she’s drinking and driving in a 18 wheeler, and I’ll allow her” – Connect (2013)

You obviously put yourself in these situations.

10. “I just hate sleeping alone” – Hate Sleeping Alone (2011)

Boo hoo, sad story.

This could be just the tip of the iceberg for Drake’s dramatic revelations. It seems as if the higher he goes in his success, the more he feels the need to express all of his inner conflicts. I can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us in the future.
