Jason Momoa is Officially Aquaman

Jason Momoa has officially been cast as Deep Blue himself, Aquaman in Zack Snyder’s upcoming ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.’

The news comes way of Variety who reports former Game of Thrones star has signed on to play the king of Atlantis. While not unheard of thanks to months of rumors, there’s finally ink on the page (something that apparently happened in June). Fans can only assume Momoa’s portrayal of the hero will segue to the inevitable Justice League movie.

Momentum has not ceased in terms of reveals for Dawn of Justice, impressive given the movie isn’t hitting theaters until May 6, 2016. Everything really kicked into high gear with the reveal of Ben Affleck as Batman in the actual batsuit and the new Batmobile. Following this was a still of the slightly configured look of Henry Cavill as the “Man of Steel” and most recently Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Not much outside of these images and a short teaser shown at Comic-Con 2014 has been seen of the film, but surely there are many more reveals in the pipeline as the date creeps closer.
