Nerd Issues Weekly #12
Hey gang, here we are with Nerd Issues Weekly #12, and this week we’ve got a extended list with a ton of pulls for you to choose from. We’ve got huge events beginning and ending in both of the major distributors in the industry, as well as some new titles making their way onto the map. So without further delay, let’s get started on this week’s extended list.
Death of Wolverine #1
Story by: Charles Soule
Art by: Steve McNiven
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Price: $4.99
As everyone knows, or should know at least, Wolverine’s greatest power is his healing factor that allows him to recover from any amount of damage, so long as that said damage isn’t decapitation or damage to his spinal cord that would result in his brain unable to tell his body where to heal. This, however, is completely thrown out when he contracts a virus while in the “Microverse” that results in him being stripped of his healing factor for an indefinite amount of time. This week starts the fall of one of Marvel’s most beloved and prolific characters, and is one of the biggest events in X-Men history as of late. Be sure to pick up this issue, if not for the compelling story line, but to see just what kind of effect it is going to have on the rest of the Marvel Comics Universe.
Sidekick #8
Story by: J. Michael Straczynski
Art by: Tom Mandrake

Formerly known as Flyboy, Barry Chase is set on a whole new mission now: to kill his former hero that betrayed him for many years. Get ready to see this tale written by J. Michael Straczynski and illustrated by Tom Mandrake take an even darker turn as Flyboy will do whatever it takes to find more information as to where his old partner went.

This is the perfect pull this week for anyone remotely interested in science fiction and humor comics. Get it!

The complete collection of the final installment into the Kick-Ass franchise is finally here for us to get our hands on, and boy are we excited. As stated before, the hardcover collection combines issues 1-8 of Kick-Ass 3 into one piece that ties the series together with a bloodstained bow. As Kick-Ass is forced to head “Justice Forever” on his own whilst Hit-Girl is behind bars, things start to take a turn for the worst as the law begins to step in to try and put an end to all of the heroes. To make matters even worse, there are a slew of new villains to add to the mix. The series finale also features the secret origins of Hit-Girl, so be sure to pick up this trade as soon as possible!
Original Sin #8
Story by: Jason Aaron
Art by: Mike Deodato
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Price: $4.99
Final judgment for the “Marvel Universe” is amongst us as the Original Sin arc comes to a stunning conclusion. It all started when Uatu, also known as The Watcher, was found dead on the moon, and the manhunt began with Earth and Space’s mightiest heroes. In this conclusion, we’re also going to get our first look at The Watcher’s final moments and who the actual murderer and thief of his eyes is. The ride that has been Original Sin has been a dark and mysterious one with a few dull moments, but after the last issue that was done incredibly well, it has been well worth it and definitely makes this last piece to the puzzle a pull for this week. For those who are late to the Original Sin train, be sure to look out for the complete hardcover collection in the following months that combines all eight issues, as well as the tie-in series’ Original Sins.
Rocket Raccoon #3
Story by: Skottie Young
Art by: Skottie Young

Picking up from the last issue, Rocket has to go against a dark-cloaked raccoon that now ends all belief that he is the only one of his kind. To add to the situation, Rocket now has to worry about the “Ex-Terminators,” a band of ex-girlfriends who are now hot on his tail.
