Flash Piece: ‘Jurassic World’ Trailer
THE PARK OPENS JUNE 12
Probably to avoid the overshadowing of the coming Star Wars trailer, Universal Studios has gone ahead and released the trailer for the highly anticipated Jurassic World, days ahead of what was originally scheduled.
The trailer opens up with a mother sending off her assumed two children on a trip, telling them “if something chases you, run.” We then get to see a newly revamped Park, full of happy crowds, rides and dinosaurs, and boy does it all look pretty.
Things aren’t all fun and games, though, when one of the scientists at the park announces that they’ve made their first genetically modified hybrid, only for her to break out of exhibit a few seconds later. The rest of the trailer shows the park going mad, with everyone on the run and looking for shelter before it comes to an end.
Cinematically speaking, this new installment of the franchise looks as beautiful as ever; however, it doesn’t look like there is going to be much of a new dynamic to the storytelling. Unfortunately, we don’t get a full first look at this new dino villain or too many dinos in general, but I’m sure we can expect to see more in the coming months as Universal looks to build hype.
Directed by Colin Trevorrow, and starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Vincent D’Onofrio, we can expect to see Jurassic World storming into theaters come June 12, 2015.
