According to sources at The Hollywood Reporter, Cinemax has made a 10-episode order for the adaptation of the Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead) created series, Outcast.

The ongoing series follows Kyle Barnes—who will be played by Patrick Fugit—a man who has been battling demons and possession his entire life. Not only is it disrupting his life, but also anyone else’s that he gets close to. Growing tired of this constant drain, he decides to start searching for answers as to why he has been cursed with such misfortune. On his journey he uncovers a much larger problem than he anticipated finding, but also learns that he may be able to stop it from destroying the earth.

Co-starring across from Fugit will be Philip Glenister, who will be portraying Reverend Anderson, the seemingly desolate West Virginian Preacher who also enjoys the finer points of life in drinking and gambling. The rest of the cast will be rounded out by the likes of Reg E. Cathey, Julia Crockett, Wrenn Schmidt and Wren Pardue.

The comic series, written by Robert Kirkman and co-created and drawn with Paul Azaceta, first debuted for Image Comics in June of 2014. It is currently six issues deep into the story thus far, with the next issue set for a mid-March release. As of now, there is no set air date for the series or pilot.
