‘Titanfall 2’ is Landing on Multiple Platforms

There’s still no official word on a single-player campaign, however.

“Titanfall 2” is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Respawn Entertainment

Respawn founder and CEO Vince Zampella confirmed today that the next Titanfall game is in development, and will be on multiple platforms. The news came during an interview with IGN before the BAFTA game awards, of which Titanfall has three nominations.

EA all but confirmed the game’s development last month, though there was no mention of it being multiplatform at the time. It is likely in very early development given that the original Titanfall came out just last year, and this one doesn’t have an official name yet.

Zampella later revealed that the Xbox One exclusivity of the first game is the biggest thing that he wishes he could change about it, though, he doesn’t regret it. The exclusivity deal was always a business decision for the developer, and Zampella claims that it allowed them to make the game better than it otherwise could have been.

While Zampella did confirm that the next game would expand on the lore of the Titanfall universe, he did not confirm or deny a single-player campaign, which was one of the criticisms of the original game. Zampella did acknowledge that while they tried to have aspects of single player in the multiplayer-only original, it might not have worked as well as they had hoped.

How do you feel about a multiplatform “Titanfall”? Would single player be good for the sequel? Tweet your answers @YouNerded or leave a comment below.
