E3 2015: ‘The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes’ Announced
At their E3 digital event, Nintendo announced the next entry in the Zelda series, The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes.
The game is due out this fall and will feature 3-player local or online co-op. While past Zelda games have experimented with co-op with games like The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, this time the emphasis is on cooperation instead of competition. As a part of this new emphasis, the game will focus on more serious Zelda gameplay elements than Four Swords, like solving puzzles and going through dungeons. The game still has a single-player option, however, which will have two doll-like characters join Link, which the player can switch to and control at will.
Triforce Heroes will also use an outfit system which requires players to collect items to craft new outfits. Each outfit will give players different special abilities, like a spin attack or bigger bombs.
